Sit back and let your ears absorb the velveteen sound of Jesse Woods and “One and Only.”
Easy listening, for sure. Jesse Woods reminds us of classic seventies soft rock. His production is timeless and hints at legendary groups like Bread, America, and Seals and Crofts. The Mellotron fade-out at the end is almost unheard of in most modern arrangements — tunes these days “sting” out at the end for radio airplay and commercial licensing. Not Woods. He keeps it cool and groovy all the way through. The vocals sit tight and airy with a tasteful amount of effect for good measure.
So, yes, we think you check this guy out. Jesse Woods impressed us with “One and Only.”
